Minor Hotels is bringing its luxury hotel brand Anantara to the US for the first time, with a new-build property in Miami’s Edgewater district.

Minor Hotels says Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will be part of a landmark development that “signals a defining moment for the group’s global expansion”.

Developed in partnership with One Thousand Group, the 50-storey tower is expected to open in 2030 and will be “the first tower in the area to offer uninterrupted views across Biscayne Bay”.

It will be home to 120 resort residences and 100 private branded residences, so owners can make their homes available to hotel guests, as well as 50 hotel suites.

The expansive property will also be home to a dedicated vitality centre, “focused on movement, nutrition, and recovery, alongside holistic programming inspired by centuries-old Thai healing traditions, introducing a new level of wellness offering to Miami”.

The hotel also has a private rooftop helipad and offers “direct access to Miami’s leading restaurants, galleries, boutiques and cultural institutions, including Pérez Art Museum, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts”.

Minor International Chairman William E Heinecke says true luxury is time and the freedom to explore the world more deeply, and this hotel will do just that.

“Miami is the perfect location for the debut of our luxury Anantara brand into the US, and we are excited to partner with One Thousand Group to bring this vision to reality.”

One Thousand Group Co-founder Michael Konig says, “Our approach has always been to anticipate where the market is going and develop buildings that don’t yet exist in Miami.

“With Anantara, we saw an opportunity to bring a globally respected brand into a market that is ready for something more meaningful and experience-driven.”
