The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) will platform members in a Global Travel Advisors Day media campaign on 6 May 2026, spotlighting the important role of accredited agents and tour operators, and also support them to lead with success by hosting a Performance Management webinar on 28 May.
The Global Travel Advisors Day campaign will leverage real member stories, highlighting the work of agents to support clients from everyday leisure and business trips to navigating disruptions and creating holiday memories.
ATIA CEO Dean Long said: “On Global Travel Advisors Day, we want everyone to help celebrate our members and the tremendous work and commitment they bring in supporting every client.”
“This year, the stories are again extraordinary with clients protected, thousands saved, disasters turned into highlights. ATIA is running the national campaign so our members can focus on what they do best: taking care of their clients.”

ATIA will showcase members across mainstream and social media and also run a full social media activation with member callouts on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram this week, asking members to use #GlobalTravelAdvisorsDay and tag @ATIAtravel as they share their stories.
Every accredited member will also receive a marketing kit in their inbox to bring the campaign to life in their storefronts and client communications.
Performance Management webinar

To further support members, ATIA will run a Performance Management webinar on 28 May 2026 to empower business owners and managers to manage performance and elevate team members.
Members can register for the 30-minute presentation, led by Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors National Manager Workplace Advice Fiona Corbett.
The session will guide members through setting clear expectations and KPIs, addressing issues early and structuring performance conversations to drive results. A simple template for documenting performance concerns will also be provided, along with guidance for formalising performance issues.

Long said: “As part of ATIA’s support for members, the webinar will provide valuable, applicable advice for members to maximise their business’s performance whilst supporting their staff.”
“ATIA represents and advocates for Australian travel businesses, including every staff member in every team. It’s part of our mission to help the whole travel industry feel supported to work at their full potential.”
