Movers + Shakers: Renee Guillien named Visit Sunshine Coast’s new trade lead

Visit Sunshine Coast has appointed Renee Guillien as Head of Industry and Trade Development, bringing more than 25 years of tourism, hospitality and destination development experience to the regional tourism organisation.

Visit Sunshine Coast has appointed Renee Guillien as Head of Industry and Trade Development, bringing more than 25 years of tourism, hospitality and destination development experience to the regional tourism organisation.

Guillien has worked across Australian and international markets, with experience spanning destination development, tourism partnerships and industry engagement.

Visit Sunshine Coast Chief Executive Officer Matt Stoeckel said the appointment would support VSC’s focus on trade development and industry capability.

“Renee brings a wealth of experience and a real passion for working with industry,” Stoeckel said.

“We’re really looking forward to having her as part of Team Sunshine Coast as we continue to support our members and strengthen our presence in key markets.”

Strengthening trade opportunities

Guillien said she was looking forward to working with the Sunshine Coast tourism sector to support operators, members and industry partners.

“The Sunshine Coast has a strong and passionate tourism industry, and I’m excited to collaborate with members, operators and partners to further develop trade opportunities and strengthen industry capability,” she said.

“Having worked across a range of global destinations, I’m passionate about the role sustainable tourism can play in supporting vibrant and resilient communities, and I look forward to bringing that focus to this role.”

VSC said Guillien is also a strong advocate for the region, making the most of the Sunshine Coast lifestyle, from exploring Noosa North Shore and Teewah Beach to sunset cruises along the Mooloolaba and Noosa rivers.

Her appointment reflects Visit Sunshine Coast’s continued commitment to strengthening industry capability and supporting sustainable growth across the region’s tourism sector.

Visit Sunshine Coast is the official Regional Tourism Organisation for the Sunshine Coast, representing the Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Gympie local government areas. The member-based organisation promotes the region to domestic and international visitors and delivers marketing and promotional initiatives to support the local visitor economy.
