Globus family of brands (GFOB) is reshaping its Asia Pacific leadership team, with managing director Chris Hall moving into a newly created chairman and strategic advisor role from 15 July 2026.
The transition comes as the touring and river cruise operator looks to accelerate long-term growth across the region and sharpen its APAC strategy.
Hall joined the business in March 2025 and has since overseen new pricing, marketing and training initiatives across Avalon Waterways, Globus and Cosmos.
Under his leadership, the company introduced “Fly-free” and flight-inclusive offers and launched Cosmos’ “Travel Deals you can Trust” campaign.
According to the group, Hall will continue supporting the business on strategy and leadership matters while assisting the incoming managing director.

“Chris has shown great leadership of the APAC region over the past twelve months, bringing a laser sharp focus to our product offering and pricing in market and ensuring Globus, Avalon and Cosmos brands are set up for future growth,” GFOB president and CEO Scott Nisbet said.
“The APAC region holds great potential for our brands, so we are investing in the team to create the chairman and strategic advisor role while also appointing a new managing director to continue with the execution of the refreshed strategy.”

Hall said GFOB had “evolved significantly over the past 12 months”.
“We have expanded our destinations and itineraries, refined our value proposition and can proudly say we offer market-leading value to our customers, while delivering an exceptional experience across our brands,” he remarked.
“I’m looking forward to supporting the team as we continue to build and expand the GFOB presence in the region.”
GFOB is now accepting expressions of interest for a new managing director, Asia Pacific position through Alexander Associates as recruitment now begins regionally.
KARRYON UNPACKS: Chris Hall’s move suggests Globus family of brands is planning well beyond short-term sales. For travel advisors, leadership continuity and investment could signal bigger ambitions for touring and river cruising locally.
