Flight Centre Travel Group veteran Zahrah Roush has been appointed Global Head of Product: Air and Ancillaries for the Flight Centre Brand, taking on a newly created role within its Global Product Team.

Roush will lead a dedicated team focused on air and ancillary product across multiple markets, following Flight Centre Brand’s recently announced global product restructure under Global Head of Product Monique Van Gelder.

A bigger brief for Flight Centre’s air strategy

Van Gelder said the appointment marks an important step in Flight Centre Brand’s next phase of product development.

“Having a dedicated leader and team focused on air and ancillaries will be transformational, and Zahrah is exactly the right person to deliver on it,” Van Gelder said.

“She brings 26 years with FCTG, most recently in our corporate business, where she sharpened her focus on the air category, drove NDC adoption, and strengthened airline partnerships across our global corporate brands.

“She’s led through significant change in a fast-moving distribution landscape; experience which will be really valuable in this multi-market role.

“She leads with energy, authenticity, and a genuine belief that the best outcomes come from collaboration and empowering her people to step up and own it.”

Roush’s appointment comes as airlines, distribution partners and travel retailers continue to reshape the way air content, ancillary products and NDC-led capability are brought to market.

Roush eyes exclusive product advantage

Roush said her focus will be on building exclusive and differentiated product ranges across air and ancillaries, with a clear benefit for Flight Centre consultants and customers.

“I want to build exclusive, differentiated product ranges across air and ancillaries that customers simply can’t access anywhere else, and in doing so, give our consultants a real competitive edge,” Roush said.

“To our supplier and industry partners, I’d love to connect. Please reach out.”
