The route also continues onwards to Auckland, adding another trans-Tasman link for travellers moving between South Australia and New Zealand.

All flights between Adelaide, Auckland and Doha are operated by widebody Boeing 777 aircraft fitted with Starlink wi-fi, offering complimentary high-speed, gate-to-gate connectivity for every passenger.

For South Australian travel sellers, the return restores a direct one-stop connection from Adelaide into Europe, the Middle East, Africa and beyond via the Doha hub, without routing clients through the eastern capitals first.

The onward Auckland leg also broadens options for advisors booking trans-Tasman itineraries or combining Australia and New Zealand stops on a single carrier, at a time when Air New Zealand is also restoring South Island routes including Perth-Christchurch.

The resumed Qatar Airways service boasts the Qsuite Business Class, which features fully lie-flat beds, sliding privacy doors and a la carte dining created in partnership with Australian chef Ross Lusted.

Business Class passengers also get access to a cocktail and mocktail collection curated by mixologist Lorenzo Antinori, now available across Australia and New Zealand services to or via Doha.

The Doha-based carrier was named the World’s Best Airline by the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2025 for a record-breaking ninth time, also taking top honours for World’s Best Business Class and Best Airline in the Middle East.
