Emirates is rolling out a new signature lounge concept across its global network in 2026, investing more than AED50 million (around AUD$19.8 million) into each airport leisure space.
The new lounge design has debuted in Munich and Frankfurt, followed by Manchester (July 2026), Mauritius (August 2026) and Istanbul (October 2026) and serves as a blueprint for signature Emirates Lounges worldwide.
For Australian travellers, the wider relevance sits in Emirates’ local lounge footprint with dedicated sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, part of a global network of 42 airport lounges that includes eight (three for First Class and five for Business Class) at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3.

The new concept translates the look of Emirates’ latest cabin interiors into a ground experience with more than 50 design enhancements and distinct zones for relaxation, work, socialising and dining.
Expect herringbone floors throughout, accents of marble and gold, discreetly integrated lighting and the backlit Ghaf Tree motif, a nod to the UAE’s national tree. Emirates’ signature Rolex clocks line the walls with global time zones.

Dining areas are built around live cooking and culinary theatre with international menus, a dedicated ‘Made In’ area spotlighting local cuisine and a bread oven turning out handcrafted pizzas and flatbreads, including manakeesh flatbreads.
A new barista bar features a mixologist offering locally inspired cocktails, mocktails, speciality coffees and artisan teas, alongside Emirates’ selection of wines, beers, Champagne and spirits.

For those who want to work, the lounges add more private areas plus communal spaces with Italian eco-leather seating, wireless charging and universal power at every seat. A Quiet Zone offers plush seating, soft lighting and sleep amenities for layovers, including blankets, eye masks and earplugs.
Wellness touches include upgraded shower suites with spa-inspired finishes and sustainable VOYA amenities, dedicated male and female prayer rooms and spaces for private meetings and breastfeeding. All Emirates Lounges operate as silent environments.

Emirates Lounges are complimentary for First Class and Business Class customers, plus EK Skywards Platinum and Gold members, including those travelling in Premium Economy and Economy Class. Paid access is also available.
Emirates Deputy President & COO Adel Al Redha said:”Our investment in our next-generation signature lounge concept reflects Emirates’ continued commitment to delivering a seamless, premium experience at every stage of the journey.”

“As we expand this concept and theme across our global network, it will set a new benchmark and standard for airport lounges and further strengthen our premium proposition.”
The lounge investment lands as President Sir Tim Clark predicts the airline will be the world’s most profitable carrier, doubling down on its premium proposition even as it currently operates below pre-conflict capacity in Dubai and the Middle East.
Emirates is also the first airline to offer Comprehensive Travel Cover, including medical cover for conflict-related incidents not restricted by government travel advice.
KARRYON UNPACKS: The first concept cities are all in Europe and the Indian Ocean, but the new Emirates signature design will roll out across all 42 lounges, including its four Australian sites, differentiating the carrier for advisors selling premium cabins to the Dubai gateway and beyond.
