The Australian Travel Industry Association‘s Beyond Borders on the Road series has now maxed out attendance at its Adelaide and Perth events in July 2026 in the lead-up to staging the Beyond Borders Summit in Melbourne this October.
ATIA’s Beyond Borders on the Road (BBOTR) roadshow lands in Adelaide on 20 July and Perth on 22 July 2026 with both events now sold out following earlier stops in Sydney in April and Brisbane in May.
The series builds towards the Beyond Borders Summit in Melbourne on 9 October, which runs alongside the annual National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) weekend with ticket packages now on sale.
Both regional events carry updates from the ATIA leadership team on member services, industry insights and the association’s advocacy work.
What’s on the agenda for advisors

A session on the card surcharging changes taking effect from 1 October features on the program, delivered through series major sponsor TravelPay. The changes, which drew ATIA’s largest-ever webinar turnout, are directly relevant to how travel businesses handle payments and pass on costs.
Travel industry expert, Birds Eye View Consulting Founder & Director Nicole O’Sullivan, will present a session on client connection in the digital age, aimed at helping members deliver value to travellers.
Switzerland Tourism is the major sponsor for the Adelaide event and will brief attendees on its trade engagement with Australian travel businesses.

ATIA CEO Dean Long said Beyond Borders on the Road’s reach had grown nationally this year.
“We’re delighted to see that BBOTR’s popularity has carried across the country this year. The ATIA team put a lot of effort into finding relevant and timely content for our members, and the turnout shows that the content is resonating,” he said.
“We’re looking forward to seeing everyone in Adelaide and Perth ahead of the flagship Beyond Borders Summit in October.”
KARRYON UNPACKS: The sell-out crowds for Beyond Borders on the Road events signal a strong appetite among advisors for practical, regulation-focused content. With the Melbourne summit and NTIA weekend still ahead, the momentum sets up a busy back half of the year for the travel trade.
