Magellan Travel Group’s general manager represented the group at this year’s Tour Down Under – not as a cycler but as a guest of Tourism South Australia.
Andrew Macfarlene and Hawthorn Travel’s Trevor Jones were invited to the event by South Australia’s tourism leaders. They were joined by Venture Holidays’ Robert Mackie who attended as a guest of Malaysian Airlines.
Amongst a huge crown of cycle fans, the guys watched parts of the race and wished farewell to Australian professional racing cyclist and winner of the 2011 Tour de France, Cadel Evans.
Earlier this month, Magellan Travel Group announced Captain’s Choice will be its preferred product. The travel company integrated Captain’s Choice ‘remote, exotic and inspired’ travel with Magellan’s spirit of high-end leisure travel.
The three travel professionals joined in on farewellsto Australian professional racing cyclist and winner of the 2011 Tour de France, Cadel Evans.
Macfarlene said the company is ‘delighted’ with the new partnership.
