United Airlines treated travel media like royalty with VIP courtside seating, dining and drinks at the NBL’s MightyMite Sydney Kings VS Cairns Taipans game.
The United sponsored Kings were head-to-head with the Taipans for the first two quarters before eventually falling behind at 92-78.

Kendrick Perry also deserves praise for his impressive free-throws, which contributed to a number of points throughout the game.

However, the team couldn’t stay ahead of the Taipans who shot ahead during the second half, mostly due to the group’s star player, Scottie Wilbekin.
The Florida born player scored 17 points during the game, only six points behind Kings’ best performer, Madgen.

Nudie’s mascot kept us company while the MightyMite Lion entertained other viewers.
Of course, the afternoon also saw the traditional half time United Airlines free throw challenge, which gave one basketball fan the chance to win return tickets for two to the US.
Unfortunately yesterday’s contestant missed, which will give another lucky fan the chance to try their luck for the flights at next week’s home game Sydney Kings VS Wollongong Hawks.
The game will be held at the Qantas Credit Union Arena on 15 February 2015 from 2.00 pm.
