Together with Dymocks the KarryOn Book Club is back and this month our members will be reading, discussing and reviewing the book ‘Holidays’ written by author William McInnes.
With the successful launch of the KarryOn Book Club last year and with the increasing interest we are now happy to announce that we will be increasing the number of members – but you better be quick as the numbers are still limited!
At our last gathering we reviewed the book ‘Euphoria’ written by Lily King and this month our members will get a taste of Aussie holidays humorously written by William McInnes.
McInnes’ book is about the Australian love affair with holidays. It’s about going away and staying at home. It’s about the relaxing times you had as a kid, escapes you have with your children and the stories you hear from your friends. It can be about a romantic sunset, the spare seat at breakfast being taken by an attractive stranger, a miraculous airline upgrade – or missing bags, unfortunate rashes and wrong turns that lead to places you definitely did not intend to go. But most of all it’s about being in your backyard in an above-ground pool, floating in circles, staring at the clouds as you go round and round, and knowing as you float that life is sweet because you’re on holidays.
The KarryOn Book Club members will be gathering at KarryOn’s Sydney offices in Surry Hills on the 5th of March to discuss the book over a glass of champagne and nibbles.
If you are interested in joining the KarryOn Book Club fill out your details below and we will be in contact with you shortly.
Anytime is a great time for reading, besides, joining a book club is an excellent way to get social!
