Food lovers everywhere are sure to be tempted by Kuala Lumpur’s exciting new food event, the KL Big Kitchen Festival.
Malaysia’s largest city is one of the best places to experience Malaysian food in all its glory. And all the sights and smells of the Kuala Lumpur’s culinary scene will be in show in Merdeka Square from 29 – 31 May.
Festival attendees are in for a treat at the three-day full-fledged festival filled with music performances, workshops, cooking classes and section and a range of other fun activities crafted especially with the culinary-inclined in mind!
And of course there will an amazing variety of hawkers stalls right around Merdeka Square, featuring every kind of offering including traditional Malaysian street food, gourmet and fine dinging offerings, food trucks, Asian sweet treats, and even a special Big Kitchen pantry filled with local products – and of course the famous herbs and spices for which underpin Malaysian cuisine.

Also guaranteed to thrill is KL Big Kitchen Big Race, which will see 12 teams race between Merdeka Square and KL’s famous Chow Kit Fresh Market to retrieve missing ingredients from incomplete recipes. Teams will be provided clues at different legs of the race and there will be plenty of obstacles along the way to keep spectators on the edge of their seats.
