The Sydney Opera House, Macchu Picchu, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center and more – the world is full of incredible landmarks that it’s almost too hard to choose a favourite.
TripAdvisor has put the tough question to its users, to compile a list of some of the top attractions around the world.
For Australian holidaymakers, nothing goes past our very own Sydney Opera House, which was voted number one in the top 10 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Landmarks in Australia.
This was followed by The Australian War Memorial in Canberra before returning back to Sydney for the Harbour Bridge.
Norfolk Island has us captivated with the St Barnabas Church as the fifth top attraction in Australia followed by South Australia’s Faye’s Underground Home.
Other Australian attractions topping the local list include Block Arcade in Melbourne at number six, Penitentiary Chapel in Hobart, HMAS Sydney II Memorial in Sydney, Fremantle Prison and Ubirr in the Northern Territory.
Unfortunately, our famous attractions didn’t make the top 10 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Landmarks Worldwide list.
