And now, Silversea says it’s ready to bring its fleet up to nine, with the 596-passenger new-build Silver Muse.
Currently in construction in Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard, the ship will join Silver Cloud, Silver Discoverer, Silver Wind, Silver Shadow, Silver Whisperer, Silver Spirit, Silver Galapagos and Silver Explorer when she’s delivered in April 2017.
According to the cruise line, she is the next evolution of Silver Spirit – the largest, roomiest and most luxurious ship in the current fleet.
Weighing at 40,000 grt, Muse will carry 56 more passengers than Spirit and offer ‘enhanced small-ship intimacy’ as well as spacious all-suite accommodation.
Further details and specifications of the new ship will be announced in the near future, however, in the meantime Silversea’s CEO said she will contribute heavily to the company’s plans to continue leading the ultra-luxury cruising sector.
“Silver Muse will continue to build on the sophistication, innovative style and ground-breaking concepts for which Silversea ships are renowned.”
Enzo Visone, Silversea CEO

Silver Muse could also be among the Silversea ships to have free WiFi onboard.
Commencing January next year, Silversea guests will enjoy what the cruise line has dubbed as ‘the most comprehensive’ WiFi package ever offered by an ultra-luxury cruise line.
This includes free WiFi to all guests throughout the ship in all suites and public spaces, on all cruises, including expedition voyages.
