Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania will be holding the inaugural Meet Hawai‘i Roadshow from 27 to 30 July 2015, visiting Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

This series of events designed for MICE industry professionals will consist of workshop sessions throughout the day, along with an evening cocktail networking event.

Not only will attendees have the chance to gain in-depth destination and product training on the Hawaiian Islands, they could also be in the running to experience Hawai‘i for themselves with a trip for two on offer at each event.

Representatives from each of the Island Chapters along with twelve industry partners and the Hawai‘i Convention Centre will be at the Meet Hawai‘i Roadshow.

By attending the workshop sessions, participants will have one-on-one “speed-dates” with MICE industry partners from Hawai‘i and Island Chapter representatives will take them on a visual and informative journey through the Hawaiian Islands.

The Hawaiian Island’s diverse natural beauty, unique culture, year round warm weather, world-class venues and legendary Aloha Spirit sets the stage for exceptional meetings and events.

With six Hawaiian Islands to choose from, each offers its own distinct character and provides a very different business tourism experience. With so many varied activities and unique venues available across Hawai‘i, it’s easy to keep groups of all sizes engaged in memorable programs.

Hawai‘i’s appeal to travellers worldwide continues to grow and with this increase in popularity, it is fast becoming a highly sought after destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and events.

According to Holly Ballard, Account Manager, Meetings, Conferences & Incentives at Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania, last year around 313,053 Australians visited Hawai‘i.

This figure is expected to surpass this record breaking number again this year.

Between January and May, the destination has received a 13.2 percent increase in visitation from Australia verses the same period last year.

“With 2015 bringing substantial increases in air capacity across all three carriers (Hawaiian Airlines, Qantas and Jetstar), there has never been a better time for the industry to seriously consider Hawai‘i for a conference or event.”
