Know a travel agent that goes out their way to deliver outstanding customer service? Or are you the one in the office the really goes the extra mile for clients?
If you answered yes to either of the above, then you may want to fill out a form for this year’s Avis Travel Agent Scholarship, which officially opened for entries today.
The annual scholarship recognises and rewards consultants for delivering high standards of customer service on a daily basis.
As well as receiving the prestigious scholarship, this year the winner will also receive a prize package valued at more than $40,000.

Last year’s winner Jodi Gonzales with the sponsors.
The education and travel-related package includes two return Qantas Airways Business Class tickets to New York; six nights’ accommodation in Manhattan; seven days’ car rental from Avis; and appointments with senior executives at Avis World Headquarters in New Jersey, with site visits to US travel agencies.
There’ll also be a scholarship to study at Southern Cross University with financial support of up to $8,000; a Polonious Resources Personal Profile, Feedback Session and on-call personal/professional coaching for 12 months; and two tickets to the 2016 NTIA Gala Dinner in Sydney (return flights, overnight accommodation and return limousine transfers).
The winner will also enjoy a one year honorary position on the Avis Travel Agents Advisory Board and for the first time receive a 12 months’ individual membership of CLIA Australasia and two tickets to attend Cruise3sixty in Sydney.

This year’s winner will receive a trip to New York.
“At CLIA we believe that outstanding customer service and a desire for ongoing education – two things the Avis Scholarship celebrates and rewards – are vital attributes of every successful travel agent.”
Brett Jardine, CLIA General Manager
“Nowhere is that more true than the cruise sector, where consultants who combine excellent product knowledge and quality customer service continue to share in our extraordinary passenger growth.”
