The past few days have been a little confusing for us here in the KarryOn office and for agents as the Indonesian government tosses over whether to give Aussies visa-free entry into the country.

But less than 24 hours later, the offer was pulled because Australia’s government refused to offer the same agreement to Indonesian travellers.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said Australia has a no-exemptions policy and all tourists are required to purchase a visa before arriving.

South American DB Americas

Travelling away from Southeast Asia and across the Pacific Ocean, a new tour operator has launched in Australia offering new, unique and luxurious itineraries throughout South and Central America.

Moving up into North America, United Airlines revealed this week it would replace its Boeing 777-200 on flights to Sydney with the newer 787-9 aircraft.

The change will help the airline compete with Air New Zealand, which is set to launch its first direct flights to the US later this year as well as with American Airlines and Qantas’ partnership, which will see the resumption of services to San Francisco.

Travellers Choice feature
