The state’s elite hotels were celebrated in style on the Gold Coast last night for the AHA National Awards for Excellence 2015.

Over 450 people attended Jupiter’s Casino for the industry’s premier event of the year with NSW accommodation venues taking out six categories.

Among the winners were Lilianfels resort & Spa, Darley’s – who won Best Restaurant Accommodation Division – and Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley – who were awarded Best Meeting and Events Venue.

CEO of Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) NSW Carol Giuseppi said the awards were testament to the state’s ongoing commitment to quality service and standards.

“NSW is proud to raise the bar when it comes to accommodation offerings across the state,” she said.

“The venues and individual talent who were recognised last night showcase the best of the best, and NSW proves once again that we not only can compete, but in fact we lead the way.”
