First it was Orlando Bloom and now it’s Formula 1 superstar Jenson Button, British Airways really does have access to the attractive, uhh I mean talented men.
The sportsman was recruited to help unveil the new state-of-the-art lounge at Changi Airport, which features more work space, new relaxation spots and new places to eat.
Dressed for an black evening suit, Button helped promote the lounge in a photo shoot for British Airways’ High Life magazine.
The pictures (spread throughout this article) showcase the elegant and refined spaces travellers, including us Aussies, will experience when travelling with British Airways via Singapore.
Aside from being the backdrop to Button’s shoot, the lounge has been fitted with British Airways’ first ever Concorde Bar. Described as a ‘tasteful and secluded area’, it is exclusive to First Class customers and offers digital panoramic views of the Singapore skyline.
The main lounge offers upgraded space for guests to work, relax and dine, while the Singaporean and British artwork creates a unique environment for travellers to sit and relax prior to their flight.
British Airways’ Head of Asia Pacific, Robert Williams, said the new lounge caters to customers who like the Formula 1 star ‘live life in the fast lane’.
“It is specially-designed to be an oasis of calm and tasteful luxury, enabling travellers to work or unwind in a relaxing environment,” he said.
“Visiting a British Airways lounge is always a treat as it’s a little bit of familiarity – a sort of home away from home – and the facilities at the new lounge in Singapore are fantastic.”
