This year Qantas Holidays has joined forces with Tourism NT and Qantas Airways to organise a number of adventurous itineraries discovering Darwin and its surrounds.

Kicking off with a welcome function sponsored by Tourism NT this evening at Rorkes Beer Wine Food, some of Australia’s top travel agents will begin a weekend of adventure and culture.

Tourism NT Chief Minister Adam Giles said it was a great coup for the Territory to host the awards.

“With Global Achievers being a pre-eminent industry award, these travel agents are the best of the best when it comes to selling holidays in Australia.”

“This is fantastic opportunity for us to show these influential travel agents what the Northern Territory is all about and why a holiday here is like no other.

“The Global Achievers event is perfect timing, coinciding with our Darwin advertising campaign currently in market around the country, which encourages Australians to ‘take another look’ and see how Darwin has changed over the years into a vibrant, cosmopolitan city.”

Itineraries for the weekend include a day trip to the stunning waterfalls at Litchfield, an AAP city and wildlife tour, High Tea Sailing, the Parap Markets, exploring the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, visiting the multi-award-winning Territory Wildlife Park, feeding the fish at Aquascene, visiting Crocosaurus Cove, jumping on board the Jumping Crocodile Cruise, an Indigenous Cultural Experience and a Barramundi Fishing Charter.

For the first time in Global Achievers history, 20 top sellers of The Cruise Team brand will also be attending the celebrations and the new category of “International Cruise Consultant of the Year” will be introduced at the 2015 award ceremony.

Other Award categories include the 500 Club, individual state winners, Domestic Consultant of the Year, and the International Consultant of the Year for 2015.
