To compliment our ‘Getting To Know You’ series, ‘Sixty Seconds With…’ features a Q&A with industry friends in the hot seat for 60 seconds!

We’re excited to introduce our KarryOn readers to our second guest – Louise Hill – Journey Designer for South America & Antarctica at Scenic.

Watch the full video above or check out the 60 second quick round below.

1. What and when was your first role in tourism?

So I started in the 1990’s as a soft adventure guide for Top Deck.

2. If you weren’t in tourism, what would you be doing?

I’d be an astronaut.

3. How has the industry changed you?

It’s made me very flexible and made me not sit into a comfort zone. Every day changes, and that’s what you have to embrace.

4. Tell us one of your ‘never fail’ travel hacks…

Always drink water on long haul flights.

5. What’s the #1 country on your bucket list?

I have two! Iceland and Senegal in West Africa.

6. What’s the best place you’ve travelled to?

I’ve travelled all over the world, I’m very lucky… but I think Patagonia is one of the most stunning places you could ever go. It’s a wonderful, beautiful and untouched region.

7. Name one person you would like to travel with and why…

I met Richard Branson. I would like to travel with him actually because I think he would be a very interesting person to sit beside on a plane, have dinner with and go and do some fun things during the day.
