After more than a decade’s service as a Director of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA), Julie Primmer has resigned from the AFTA Board.

The announcement was made ahead of AFTA’s board election results, which are expected to be formally revealed later today.

Outgoing AFTA Director Julie Primmer said, “It’s been an honour to have been part of the AFTA Board over these past ten years.

“There have been some vigorous conversations during that time, but it’s always been clear that we are united in our focus of making a difference for AFTA’s members through a sustainable peak industry body, with an eye on the priorities that matter.”

“These past ten years have presented us with challenges we never anticipated and, as a Board, we have worked hard to ensure AFTA delivers for all members even during the toughest of times.”

“Julie has been a strong advocate for small and medium-sized travel businesses ensuring AFTA and ATAS continue to have strong relevance to AFTA core constituency.”
