By now you've probably read the articles and heard claims of Agents ripping travellers off for thousands of dollars, but is it even possible for consultants to do that to their clients?

By now you’ve probably read the articles and heard claims of Agents ripping travellers off for thousands of dollars, but is it even possible for consultants to do that to their clients?

Sebastian, the Travel Agent who’ll discuss almost everything and anything on his Travel Agent Diaries – just give him a telephone, says it’s practically impossible.

In his first video diary posted to KARRYON’S Facebook page last night, Sebastian discussed the Flight Centre vs ABC drama, saying that claims of Agents ripping clients off were “a load of bull”.

“In our industry, we have to be so transparent with pricing. There’s so many ways of booking now that we’ve got to keep our margins really low.”

The fictional front of a real Travel Agent continued, saying that the real rip off can be found online where he’s caught booking sites selling fares for up to $500 more than the Agent price.

“I had this lovely client who was looking online and I was looking on my system… she wanted Premium Economy to London and it was $3,600… I went cheaper $500,” he explained.

But enough of the recap, watch the two-minute diary entry below:
