Agents adopt the Canadian spirit

The annual Canada Corroboree was back in town, giving agents around the country the chance to get to know the latest Canadian products and itineraries.

The annual Canada Corroboree was back in town, giving agents around the country the chance to get to know the latest Canadian products and itineraries.

This year, the roadshow started on 2 February in Perth at the Pan Pacific. The event then travelled on to Adelaide (3 February – National Wine Centre of Australia); Melbourne (4 February – Grand Hyatt Melbourne); Brisbane (10 February – Hilton Brisbane); and Sydney (11 February – Four Seasons Hotel Sydney).

Throughout the roadshow, agents were given the opportunity to learn about destination developments in Canada as well as new products and offerings in a variety of Canadian cities.

Hundreds of industry professionals attended this year’s event as well as dozens of Canadian suppliers.

Attendees were also given presentations from several suppliers that took time to highlight various itineraries and packages for various Canadian destinations.

Earlier this month, around 200 travel agents donned their Calgary Stampede cowboy hats and boots at Travel Alberta’s Experience Alberta travel agents’ event, themed Ranch, Rodeo & Rockies.

Held at the Australian Outback Spectacular on the Gold Coast, the evening saw agents treated to a behind-the-scenes tour to meet the cast and crew of the Australian Outback Spectacular, plus entertainment by Calgary Stampede country western singer Jake Mathews.
