If you’re looking for an effortless connection to the land of legendary landscapes, incredible wildlife, out-there activities, and an excuse to have maple syrup at every meal, take a flight to Canada straight outta Brisbane. Air Canada jets Brisbane to Vancouver 4x a week, connecting to over 60 Canadian and 53 US cities! Time to fly to Canada, ay?

If you’re planning your ‘23 winter escape, the Brisbane (BNE) to Vancouver (YVR) news gets better. From June 2023, Air Canada will commence daily flights out of Brisbane Airport! That’s back to 2019 levels (hurrah) and gives us all even more excuses to plan a getaway.

Think about it: by then, we’ll be rugged up, brollied up, and feeling like it’s forever until the next long weekend. Picture this instead: You at an eco-lodge watching a grizzly bear cub play in the distance. Or hiking the breathtaking trails of Banff National Park. Or maybe wandering Old Québec City. Or simply discovering for yourself what the BC Effect is! Any day of the week, come June ‘23, you can make this happen by flying directly out of Brisbane!

Start your journey with award winners

Brisbane Airport, winners (again!) of the 2022 Skytrax Australia/Pacific Best Airport and Best Airport Staff, get you started on your journey to Canada in style, comfort, and with a lot less lining up!

Skytrax, if you’re unfamiliar, is a people’s choice award. To us, this is the most valuable assessment: travellers voting on travel based on real-life experiences.

It’s not just happy traveller votes that Brisbane Airport racks up. They also outperform all large Australian airports in terms of check-in queues, immigration lines, and somehow even at security. Yes, security, where really, it’s the person who forgets their keys in their pockets, then their belt, then their water bottle, then that random bottle of mayonnaise that slows that line down. And yet BNE still makes that faster for travellers!

Alongside enjoying Brisbane Airport’s perks and facilities (like ample shops, restaurants, and cafes), you also get to fly with award-winning Air Canada.

Fly with award-winners, too

Yes, it’s not only Brisbane Airport that took out a Skytrax award this year; Air Canada did, too! This means, from start to finish, your journey to Canada will be the best available.

Air Canada was the proud recipient of Skytrax’s Best Airline in North America (no small feat!). Plus, they took out the Best Business Class Lounge Dining (must be those maple syrup-inspired fusion dishes by chef David Hawksworth!) and Best Business Class Onboard Catering North America.

And, get this, Brisbane Airport and Air Canada have both won their respective main awards eight times each! Is it a coincidence that these two are such dynamic partners? We think not!

Karryon caught up with Air Canada’s Janis Mcdonald in BNE recently and had a fun filled chat on all things Air Canada plus a message to you. ‘I just want to thank all of you for your support over the last couple of years and months, it has been amazing to see you all back working your hearts out and we are going to continue to support you and we hope you continue to support us. And I look forward to seeing you again soon.’
