Quiet please! Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann to host NTIAs in Melbourne

With just over a week to go until the big celebration, Aussie comedian Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann has been announced as the host for this year’s National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) at the Crown Melbourne on 18 November.

With just over a week to go until the big celebration, Aussie comedian Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann has been announced as the host for this year’s National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) at the Crown Melbourne on 18 November.

Anthony Lehmann, or “Lehmo”, is one of Australia’s most experienced standup comics, having worked globally, including stints in Europe, the US and Asia.

South Australian Lehmann actually started out working as a chartered accountant before realising he did not actually like accounting and decided to give comedy a try.

Lehmo has since gone on to be part of Australia’s TV and radio landscape for over ten years, starring in TV shows such as Before the Game, Utopia and Rove Live. Lehmo has appeared on Channel 10’s The Project and was one-half of the team on Melbourne’s number 1 FM radio station with Jo Stanley.

Commenting on sponsoring Lehmo as host for the big night, Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers Executive Director Tom Gow-Gates said, “We are thrilled to sponsor the MC, Lehmo, at the prestigious NTIA. It’s an important night that brings the industry together to acknowledge achievements and applaud the resilience and excellence of the sector. Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers is honoured to be a part of this celebration.”

The intermission entertainment, sponsored by Express Travel Group (ETG), will also make this year’s NTIAs a success, with a former Australia’s Got Talent winner promising guests a mesmerising performance.

ETG General Manager, Sales & Marketing Jason Aghan said, “We don’t want to give too much away for the surprise entertainment on the night, but we can say it’ll be a world-class act that will excite every guest at NTIA 2023!”

Commenting on the sponsorships for the event, ATIA CEO Dean Long said, “Thank you to Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers and ETG for their sponsorship support as we bring together the very best of Australia’s Travel industry to celebrate excellence.”

NTIA 2023 will occur at the Crown Melbourne on 18 November, with lead-up events kicking off celebrations the night before. Among these events will be a new networking function at the InterContinental Melbourne and an exclusive finalists-only event at Holey Moley Melbourne CBD.

In July, ATIA announced Singapore Airlines as the major sponsor of the event for at least the next two years.
