Aussie travel agents have begun their race around the UK & Ireland as they participate in Qantas Holiday’s mega famil – Race Around UK & Ireland from 19 February-1 March.

Four teams of lucky Australian travel agents are well and truly covering some ground on their adventurous tours across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. After touching down in London, the Capital Cities marked the perfect starting line for teams visiting some of UK and Ireland’s top tourist attractions.

Team Ireland has explored the city of Dublin including Ireland’s number 1 tourist destination and home of Guinness, The Guinness Store House and soaked up the culture of what is often referred to as the most “Irish” city – Galway.

Team England have indulged their sweet tooth at Cadbury World, visited the original roman style bathes in Bathe and Birmingham, the host city of 2015 Rugby World Cup. The Australian travel agents are experiencing firsthand the excitement in the lead up to the event in September this year.

Team Scotland has been enriched by the history and culture behind the country’s renowned battlefields and castles and have cruised the world famous Loch Ness. Team Wales have been immersed in the history and culture of Cardiff and are enjoying some of the beautiful views and landscape of the country.

The four teams of 15 have 2 days left of exciting activities and destinations before meeting together in London to share their experiences and celebrate over a Gala Dinner.

Key tourism bodies including Tourism Ireland, Visit Scotland, Visit Wales, Visit England, Visit Britain as well as Qantas, Cheval Residences and London’s Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotels are supporting the Qantas Holidays initiative.
