They’re looking out for your safety, they have first-hand experience, they get first-pick of tours, they save you from making online mistakes and they save you time and money

… but in case you needed another reason to book travel through a travel agent, they’re also likely to have you covered for unexpected situations such as Bali’s Mt Agung.

Why?

They have exclusive access to an insurance policy that covers travellers for all types of unexpected travel disruptions, even natural disasters.

While some insurance providers will withdraw cover the moment a destination appears unsteady, Cover-More has done the complete opposite, but only for a particular policy booked through Travel Agents.

The Cancel-For-Any-Reason (CFAR) policy extra allows travellers to claim travel plans disrupted by a natural disaster such as Mt Agung, a terror attack, extreme sports or cancellations due to a lack of numbers.

Explaining the policy, Cover-More’s Mike Stein said the policy allows travellers to pursue travel plans with the confidence of knowing they’re covered.

“When travellers take out one of our new comprehensive policies and choose to add on CFAR cover, they can plan to travel to Bali knowing they’re covered for Mt Agung activity.”

Mike Stein, Cover-More General Manager, Sales & Marketing

“Thousands of Australian travellers who’ve booked holidays to Bali are worried and stressed Mt Agung might ruin their travel plans, but our new comprehensive policies mean they can plan their Bali holiday and, if the volcano remains active, cancel and rebook new travel or get a refund so they can travel at another time.”

Cover-More’s CFAR can be added to a policy at the time of booking or within seven days of paying any money on their holiday. To claim, customers need to cancel seven or more days before their departure date, and they can expect to be paid up to 75 per cent of the non-refundable portion of their trip upon cancellation.
