The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) has shared the industry partners backing this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD) Lunch in Melbourne on 6 March 2025 and uniting under the Brands for a Cause initiative.
Chimu Adventures, Collette, Destination Canada, Globus family of brands, G Adventures, Intrepid, Julie King & Associates, On the Go Tours, NIB Travel and The Travel Corporation have come together for the CATO IWD 2025 event and initiative.
These leading brands are committed to amplifying their impact, demonstrating a shared commitment to driving positive change and championing women in the travel industry and wider society.

This year’s sold-out IWD event is themed around ‘Emotional Resilience’, highlighting the remarkable achievements of women while fostering meaningful conversations on strength, perseverance and empowerment.
The IWD Lunch will feature an inspiring lineup of speakers, including headliner Olympic gold medallist Noémie Fox and Yellow Falcon CEO Ashleigh Conwell with Ingrid Berthelsen serving as MC.

The event will also provide critical support to the Women’s Resilience Centre, an organisation dedicated to assisting women transitioning from crisis care to recovery following domestic abuse, trauma and loss.
Attendees are encouraged to wear a touch of yellow, symbolising joy, resilience, hope and empowerment, to show their solidarity at the luncheon.

CATO Managing Director Brett Jardine said: “We are incredibly thankful to our partners who have come together in unity to support this vital cause.”
“Their commitment not only celebrates the exceptional women in our industry, but also contributes to an important conversation about emotional resilience and the support systems needed for women to thrive.”
