CATO reveals World Earth Day event speaker lineup in Brisbane

The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) has announced the four inspiring travel industry speakers for its World Earth Day lunch at the Calile Hotel in Brisbane on Friday 21 April 2023.

The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) has announced the four inspiring travel industry speakers for its World Earth Day lunch at the Calile Hotel in Brisbane on Friday 21 April 2023.

CATO’s World Earth Day panel consists of four speakers across retail, aviation, cruise and tour operator sectors: Michelle Degenhardt (Flight Centre Travel Group Chief Sustainability Officer), Heidi Hauf (Boeing Regional Sustainability Lead), Damian Perry (Hurtigruten Managing Director APAC Region) and Toni Ambler (The Travel Corporation Managing Director ANZ).

G Adventures Managing Director Oceania and CATO Board Member Sean Martin will serve as the event’s MC and moderate the panel discussion.

It’s the first time this event will be held in Queensland and is open to all travel industry members to enjoy a two-course meal and beverages plus post-event networking.

CATO Managing Director Brett Jardine said: “As the peak industry body for the land-supply sector, it is important that we take a lead in highlighting the need for a sustainable and responsible approach to travel.”

“CATO has assembled a fantastic panel of experts from four different sectors of the travel industry. 

“Guests will be inspired by these leaders through a thought-provoking and impactful panel discussion designed to educate and stimulate further conversations.”
