The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) has unveiled its first module in the Business Education series for the CATO Touring Academy, which provides recognised industry training for travel advisors to advance their knowledge of the touring sector.

It signals the CATO Touring Academy’s expansion beyond sales training into professional development to assist travel advisors in building profitable businesses.

The Touring Landscape – Roles and Responsibilities module is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the complex roles within the touring sector.

It addresses the consumer sentiment shift toward more bespoke, immersive and culturally enriching travel experiences, helping advisors navigate the intricacies of packaging travel services.

In addition, agents will gain insights into potential liabilities around booking terms and conditions.

After completing this e-learning module, advisors will have greater clarity of the distinct roles in the touring landscape, including how they interact and contribute to creating seamless touring experiences for clients.
