It wasn’t Thanksgiving but it certainly was a night of giving thanks for Helloworld Travel and dozens of its suppliers at a recent cocktail party in Sydney.

Held at the Doltone House Darling Island Wharf (opposite The Star) last week, the Helloworld Travel-hosted evening saw hundreds of valuable supplier partners come together to celebrate another year of their successful partnerships over cocktails and canapes.

The who’s who of the industry was in attendance, including Helloworld Travel’s Chief Executive and Managing Director, Andrew Burnes, who personally thanked the room and noted the incredible value that preferred partners bring to the Helloworld Travel business.

Among the group’s success over the last 12 months include a 6.1 percent increase in total transaction value (TTV) to $3.153 billion during the six months to December 2018, while revenue increased by 7.7 percent to $182.2 million. Click here to read the full results.

The last year also saw the group add several new agencies to its network, purchase three businesses including the Magellan Travel Group, and launched new brochures focused on meeting current trends.

Taking the stage after Andrew Burnes was Helloworld Travel’s Group General Manager for Retail and Commercial, John Constable, who shared a similar sentiment of thanks.

Group General Manager for Corporate, Nick Sutherland, also shared his thoughts on the success of the last 12 months, followed by Executive Director, Cinzia Burnes.

Between the brief deliveries by management, attendees spent a couple of hours enjoying each other’s companies while test-tasting the Doltone House’s canapes menu.
