It was a truly memorable Australia day for a handful of Travel Advisors who watched wheelchair race champions rip up The Rocks in Sydney during the fastest street circuit race around – The Oz Day 10k.
The lucky Travel Advisors were hosted by Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines who partnered with Wheelchair Sports NSW, the organisation behind the Oz Day 10K.
Travel Advisors from Flight Centre, Travel Counsellors and Travel Managers were given star treatment during the race and at the official post event function at the Munich Brauhaus.
Many of the Advisors travelled from across the state to be part of the event, while one flew in from Brisbane for the race.
The energy on the day was electric as they watched 13-time winner Paralympic medal winner and five-time World Champ Kurt Fearnley in action and to cheered on Australia’s youngest Olympian Madison de Rozario.
“I just want to say a masssive thank you for allowing me to come down to Sydney to join in with supporting the athletes and meeting you guys! You all absolutely rock. I am so glad I made the trip down.”

The Travel Advisors all agreed that if you haven’t ever seen a wheelchair race yet, try and get yourself to one, because it’s really something incredible to witness.
