Cruise Line International Association Australasia saw a 20 per cent jump in CLIA travel agent membership this year compared to 2023 with a record 6,274 new members joining CLIA during 2024 as the $8.43 billion local cruising industry continues to surge.
With 2025 CLIA Travel Agent Membership now available from $165, Aussie and Kiwi advisors can expect a packed program of educational events and training opportunities to equip them with the tools to succeed in the burgeoning cruise market.
CLIA 2025 membership is open to new and existing members, offering benefits such as the CLIA Professional Development, CLIA Events and CLIA Travel Agents Rewards programs.
CLIA’s education program recently won the NTIA 2024 award for ‘Most Outstanding Travel Industry Training Institution’ with advisor involvement at record levels and 2024 course completions up 84 per cent against 2022.
In addition, 2025 CLIA Travel Agent Membership allows advisors to access the CLIA Members Hub, a one-stop portal for all online cruise training, insight and resources.
CLIA Managing Director in Australasia Joel Katz said: “Cruising is thriving around the world and the demand for travel agent training is now stronger than it has ever been.”
“The level of interest and dedication among travel agents is inspiring and we want to support this further in 2025 through practical education, engaging events and other supporting benefits.
“Importantly, CLIA membership will continue to support our voice as we advocate for cruising and rise to the challenges ahead. CLIA’s persistent advocacy efforts have led to major breakthroughs and we will continue to fight for our community,” he said.
