Home-based Travel Agents continue to prove that they’re excelling in the area of customer service by winning the Avis Scholarship for a second consecutive year.
After months of analysing entries and interviewing finalists, the Avis Budget Group announced TravelManagers’ Jo Patton as the winner of the 2018 Avis Scholarship.
Jo’s win not only makes it the second consecutive win for home-based consultants, but the second time the winner has operated under the TravelManagers umberella (following Nakita Byrne in 2017).
Jo is the second TravelManager to win the Avis Scholarship.
According to the Avis Budget Group, Jo was selected as the 2018 Scholarship recipient after for maintaining the highest level of excellence in her customer service and applying innovation in her work.
She specifically impressed judges with her success in combining her passions of travel and craft to create ‘Crafty Adventures’, a service specialising in cruises and tours with a craft focus.

The Avis Travel Agent Scholarship is valued at over $40,000 and Jo will enjoy a range of prizes and experiences including; international travel to Singapore to attend the 2019 WIT Conference, professional guidance and access to exceptional education and training opportunities with organisations such as the Cruise Lines International Association Australia (CLIAA).
