EPIC PARTY: Furnace & the Fundamentals rock Helloworld Travel Frontliners in Fiji

How did Helloworld Travel consultants spend the entire official first day of their Frontliners Forum in Fiji? Drinking a lot of kava & partying through seven decades of music! No, seriously.

Every Agent at this year’s gathering sat among Fijian men, clapped three times, downed a shot of the traditional beverage and through politely suppressed cringes shouted ‘Bula’.

And it was all thanks to Tourism Fiji’s ‘village’ or stand inside the Network Lounge.

The tourism board was one of 30 partner suppliers and operators with stands at the conference along with Disney Destinations International, Trafalgar, Uniworld, Insight Vacations, Cover-More, Club Med, Qantas, Air New Zealand and the list goes on.

The round of supplier updates and chats followed a hilarious conference opening by host (and practically Helloworld Travel family), Steve Jacobs, who taught Agents how to dance while wearing a coconut bra and straw skirt.

Qantas’ Stu Milne entertained consultants with an overview of the Aussie airline’s adaptations over the past few years, while Vice Captain of the first ever Australian Sudoku Team, Mick Colliss, had everyone in stitches with his random and yet somehow, inspiring tale.

Day one officially ended at the Koro at the Hilton Fiji Resort where Agents partied the night away with Furnace and the Fundamentals.

If you don’t know who they are, know this – they rocked! Consultants were dancing around to seven decades of music with hits from the Backstreet Boys to Queen, Otis Day and Knight and even, the Spice Girls.

It was one hell of a party.
