Flight Centre global leaders from Canada, the UK, South Africa, NZ and Australia had a swell time at sea on board Pacific Encounter (soon-to-be renamed Carnival Encounter) for the recent 2024 Flight Centre Strategic Leadership Conference.

The red-and-white brand hosted global leaders plus major sponsors Europ Assistance, Carnival Australia, Intrepid Travel and Globus, sailing from Brisbane to the Whitsundays.

The four-night Carnival-hosted cruise’s conference content fittingly focused on growing Flight Centre’s cruise market share as the largest CLIA-accredited agency globally.

The conference theme was ‘The Flight Centre Way’, referencing a strategic move to modernise the brand’s global shop network and growing omnichannel presence.

Global Managing Director Andrew Stark said the conference was an opportunity to bring the strategic global leadership team together as FCB makes plans to become the ‘Apple of travel’.

“We have winning aspirations for our iconic Flight Centre Brand, famous for flights plus more, and the past week was the perfect opportunity to come together as a global leadership team and do what we do best; communicate in person, build our culture, network and collaborate on how best we continue to deliver the joy of travel to our customers,” Stark said.

“The conference focused on the emergence of trends at play, product lines for the future, the importance of data and how best to leverage these trends as part of our ambition to become the ‘Apple of travel’.
