Maxine has been with MTA for almost 13 years and John joined her in the business in 2012.
Maxine came from a diverse background which included teaching, swimming and time in traditional bricks and mortar agencies.
Meanwhile, John had an engineering-based career which included some sales, marketing and customer services so, it was a natural transition to join Maxine and MTA rather than simply retire to travel.
Working as MTA Advisors gives John and Maxine the ability to travel and work away from home, either escorting groups or growing their knowledge of products and places.
“While we are travelling, we generally maintain direct contact with our clients but we also have the full support and facilities of MTA head office to back us up and effectively allow us to work from anywhere in the world”.
While travelling we are always thinking of which clients might like a particular cruise, hotel or destination they are experiencing.
“We both have a passion for Africa, having escorted tours and travelled extensively across the African Continent for many years, it’s a place that draws us back again and again,” Maxine said.
“One of our favourite itineraries is our “Diversity of Africa” escorted tour which takes clients through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia”.
They love expedition cruising and have taken groups to such diverse places as Hawaii and Antarctica.
The Adams say they are particularly appreciative of the MTA technology that allows them to work wherever they go.

When they’re not jet setting, the Adams enjoy a slower pace of life in Port Macquarie.
They start the day with a walk along the beach near their home where they almost always see one or two clients along the way.
After breakfast they go to their respective offices within their home, John often working on group bookings and client communications while Maxine continues with retail bookings and visiting clients.
