Funky new travel agency raises the bar with a spa & Business Class seats

Visiting travel agencies in the future may be less like taking a step towards a dream getaway and more like an actual holiday experience, if this new store in the UK is anything to go by.

Visiting travel agencies in the future may be less like taking a step towards a dream getaway and more like an actual holiday experience, if this new store in the UK is anything to go by.

Virgin Holidays raised the bar on booking vacations this month with the opening of its new store in Milton Keynes, which is designed to replicate an airport lounge.

Customers visiting the one-of-a-kind agency will be able to relax in Virgin Atlantic’s Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class seats and and leave their kids in a children’s play area.

They can receive a hand massage or manicure at the in-agency spa while they enjoy a complimentary glass of Italian wine.

Plus they can go on a virtual reality roller coaster ride before they actually book a holiday.

Virgin Holidays’ Vice President of Sales, Lee Haslett, said the 1,700-square feet store will give customers the chance to try some of the airline’s features before they even secure their vacation, The Daily Mail reported.

“We’ve been revolutionising the way our customers book their holidays for several years and our latest v-room in Milton Keynes is the next step on that journey.”

“We know that our customers are looking for something extra than just a standard holiday and our v-rooms are the first step on that journey – whether that’s the in-store bar, children’s play area or roller coaster simulation.”
