Avis is on the hunt for Australia’s more outstanding Travel Agents in customer service as part of its annual Travel Agent Scholarship program, which is taking applications now.

The program opened this week to Australia and New Zealand-based consultants who have proven time and time again that they put their clients first.

In its 23rd year, Avis described the Scholarship as having evolved into “one of the most valuable and prestigious awards”.

WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF APPLYING (& WINNING)?

First and foremost, the winner gets the recognition that comes with the prestigious title of ‘Avis Scholarship winner 2019’. They’ll join a line up of other excellent and excelling consultants who also go the extra mile for their clients.

A Scholarship, as expected, comes with learning opportunities and in this case, it’s professional coaching and profiling for one year from Right Path. They’ll be able to use the coaching to excel their career and even expand their current field. Additionally, there’s a ticket to Cruise360 courtesy of CLIA and the ability to connect with previous winners.

Finally, the $35,000 prize includes Qantas Business Class flights to an industry conference of the winner’s choosing within the Asia Pacific region.

HERE’S HOW TO APPLY

Applications for the program are (as previously mentioned) now open and will stay that way until 23 September 2019. During that period, consultants will need to answer a series of questions about how they deliver extraordinary customer service, innovation and keep sustainability front of mind when working with clients.

Submissions can be made in any format, including PowerPoint or video.

Once submitted, the application will go through a rigorous review process and will be judged by a group of travel industry leaders.

Finalists will be announced on 10 October 2019 and given the opportunity to travel to Sydney where they will present their case to a judging panel ahead of the Awards Gala Dinner on 13 November 2019 where the winner will be announced.
