The epic Globus family of brands’ Travel Champions Gameshow, which took place last year, has been awarded a gong at the 2020 Content Marketing Awards.
Globus family of brands (GFOB) has been awarded the number one spot for In-Person (Event) Content Marketing Campaign of the Year at the 2020 Content Marketing Awards for its industry-first Travel Champions Gameshow.
And rightly so!
Forget Family Feud, the GFOB Travel Champions really was THE ONLY GAMESHOW worth talking about.
Conceptualised by content marketing agency 3rdspace and hosted by TV presenter James Kerley, the live event saw agents across Australia battle it out through various rounds of questions about GFOB and the wider travel industry, for the prestigious title of Travel Champion.
The event took place at a purpose-built studio in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter in November 2019.
Winners are grinners!
On the night itself, the gameshow featured travel agents from all states and territories across Australia, including representatives from Flight Centre, Bicton Travel, Helloworld, TravelManagers, italk travel, Devonport Travel & Cruise and RAA.
Then, after six gruelling rounds of tough questions, it was Liam Lavery and Pat McKinnon from Flight Centre Tailormade Ballarat that claimed the top gong, taking home the huge trophy; an amazing night out for their whole agency (on GFOB); but most importantly, the prestige of being dubbed the best in the business and the first-ever Travel Champions!
Speaking about the award, Gai Tyrrell, Managing Director Australasia of Globus family of brands said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be taking home this award, as the whole team got behind the event to help make it a huge success,”
“We’re always looking for new and exciting ways to connect with and celebrate the travel agents we work with every day, and whilst we can’t get the industry together at the moment, we can’t wait until the time is right to celebrate together again.”
