You must have a very strong network of leisure agency contacts, be highly organised, possess strong computer skills and be an excellent communicator. If you would like to travel the world and promote some of the world’s best destination management companies, then this is the job for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Sales to high-end FIT and special interest agents in Australia & New Zealand
- Create leisure marketing campaigns to promote their DMCs
- Negotiate preferred agreements and supplier contracts on behalf of DMCs
- Organise and participate in overseas educationals
- Sales visits within Australia and New Zealand
- Participate at tradeshows to promote their DMCs when required (eg. Virtuoso)
Skills
- Concise understanding of the leisure industry with a strong network of contacts
- Superior communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Proactive nature, strong initiative and ability to contribute creative ideas
- Competent computer skills
- Excellent time management
A minimum of at least 5 years of experience in a similar role is required. Initially, this role is 3-4 days on a permanent part-time basis, with the potential to increase in number of days in the future (days are flexible).
