The ultimate tour from the ultimate tour guides through Norway and Scandinavia, Follow the Lights is Hurtigruten’s escorted, small-group tour travelling both northbound and southbound between Oslo and Helsinki. It’s a light-up-your-life journey combining the world-famous Flåm Railway with Hurtigruten’s Original Coastal Express Voyage.

With a maximum of 24 guests per departure, this 15- or 17-day adventure travels through Norway’s charming hamlets and picturesque fjords en route to Arctic Norway to witness the magnificent aurora borealis – the Northern Lights.

There’s also a fjord cruise on UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, thrilling reindeer and husky safaris, a Santa Claus village visit (ho ho ho), plus a night under the stars in a fabulous glass igloo.

Your clients can choose between a Northbound and Southbound departure.

What better reason to head to Northern Norway than to see nature’s most spectacular light show? Under the guidance of Hurtigruten’s expert Coastal Experience team, your clients will venture into the Arctic wilderness for the chance to view this celestial phenomenon.

While the region’s clear skies and minimal light pollution offer optimal conditions to see the Northern Lights, there are also scientific predictions for 2025 for the Solar Maximum.

No, Solar Maximum is not a sci-fi movie, but a prediction for the most frequent and impressive aurora borealis displays in more than a decade. In short, this is the season to book!

Bring to light: Northern Lights Promise

Of course, scientist’s predictions – while highly calculated – are just that, predictions. This is why Hurtigruten makes your clients a promise no one else can match: if they sail 11 days or more along the Norwegian coast and the Northern Lights do not show, they’ll get an Original Coastal Express Classic Voyage FREE OF CHARGE*!

Yes. FOC! This is for travel between September and March, and their replacement tour can be southbound (6 days) or northbound (7 days).

We’re no scientists, but we predict your clients will be seriously impressed! Find out more about the Northern Lights Promise here.
