Imaginative streamers were thrown over Australian travel brands as they were celebrated in Anaheim this week during the USA’s annual tourism showcase, IPW.
Flight Centre and Helloworld Travel were among the Australian brands to receive praise at the yearly show for moving the highest USA travel product.
Yes, the retail pair, along with Excite Holidays, Adventure World and Infinity Holidays, are among the highest sellers of US travel in Australia.

The invitation-only award night was held at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach and saw each, along with other buyers around the world, received a custom-made and engraved crystal award. Two representatives from each company were also given hand-cast bronze medallions.

The exclusive event was described by attendees as a “true Southern California experience with food, wine, decor and entertainment that reflected the unique destination”.

Taking full advantage of the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the reception was held on the terrace.
Following the reception and welcome remarks from Caroline Beteta, President and Chief Executive of Travel Oregon, honorees moved to the Event Lawn with its iconic rotunda for a four-course dinner along with a pairing of California wines.
