KARRYON FAM WRAP: New Zealand & United Arab Emirates

Work hard; play hard. That’s the universal travel agent’s motto, right? RIGHT! Yes, you love to make other people’s dreams come true, but sometimes it’s nice to pack your bags and set off on your own adventure too.

Work hard; play hard. That’s the universal travel agent’s motto, right? RIGHT! Yes, you love to make other people’s dreams come true, but sometimes it’s nice to pack your bags and set off on your own adventure too.

Famils are going strong (shout out to all the wonderful companies that you sell) and we love to see your happy little faces while overseas.

That’s why we’re bringing you a weekly famil wrap, so we can all have a nose as to what you’ve been up to and to give you some extra bragging rights, because, let’s face it… the travel industry is the best industry in the world? #travelforlife

Can you spot yourself or someone you know?

TravelManagers’ Pure New Zealand

Famil Wrap

PTMs Jacqui Ryan, Ally Casey, Vicki Hope and Colleen Lacey (L-R) experience the magic of New Zealand’s Fiordland during an overnight cruise aboard the Fiordland Navigator

Take 100 travel professionals and drop them into one spectacular destination. Gently scatter them across a selection of ten incredible itineraries and leave them to soak up world-class scenery and experiences for seven days.

This was the recipe followed by Tourism New Zealand and Air New Zealand when they created the ‘Pure New Zealand mega famil’, which was attended by seven of TravelManagers’ personal travel managers.

The famil participants say they were impressed with the range of attractions and activities available to visitors of all ages and abilities: “New Zealand definitely isn’t just for active and adventure travellers.”

Famil Wrap

The best way for a travel consultant to get the most out of a family-centric educational program – take the family with you.

And that’s exactly what a group of MTA – Mobile Travel Agents Advisors and five of their children did recently when invited to Abu Dhabi as guests of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture & Tourism and Etihad Airways as part of a unique study tour concept to showcase the United Arab Emirates as a major attraction for Australian families.

Highlights of the program included a desert safari, a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Abu Dhabi’s world-famous Falcon Hospital, the Abu Dhabi Louvre and Yas island, home to Ferrari World, Warners Brothers World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld – not forgetting camel riding at a traditional Bedouin camp.

Featured accommodation partners for the program included the Park Hyatt Saadiyat Island and the Emirates Palace.
