Following the opening of trans-Tasman bubble quarantine-free travel, Tourism New Zealand presents its first Virtual Travel Expo ’21 to help travel agents effortlessly sell the destination.
The totally free and fun event happening on June 16 will see over 300 Kiwi operators and accommodation providers join forces to encourage Australian travel agents to keep New Zealand top of mind and take advantage of a fellow international free visitor market.
Close to 25 Regional Tourism Operators (RTOs) will host virtual breakout sessions to equip agents with the up-to-date products, resources, contacts, and information they need to sell New Zealand.
Attendees will also have access to the latest videos, insights, product manuals and presentations that highlight the very best of New Zealand and tell the story to their clients.
Head of Trade Tourism New Zealand, Australia Sandra Etter said, “Quarantine-free travel has reignited Australians’ passion to explore new international experiences. Our research shows 98% of Australian travellers are in favour of the trans-Tasman travel zone and 60% are hoping to travel in the next six months.
“We have created a free virtual expo for the travel industry to arm them with the most relevant and up-to-date information to engage with their customers successfully. 79% of agents are most engaged by content focussed on what is new in the market”.
The New Zealand Virtual Travel Expo ’21 will be hosted via EventsAIR on Wednesday 16th June 2021 from 11:00am – 3:00pm AEST.
Tourism New Zealand also recently unveiled its 100% Pure New Zealand Marketing Hub that boasts a wealth of professionally designed and customizable marketing tools to enable travel agents to convert on sales opportunities.
