More than 75 Gold Coast-based travel partners and advisors joined special guest Azamara Quest Captain Johannes Tysse for a seafaring soiree on land at QT Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise on Tuesday night.
Hosted by Azamara’s Australia team, including Director of Sales Victoria Chigwidden and Business Development Manager for NSW, Qld and WA Kristina Sambaher, the exclusive event showcased the luxury cruise line to Gold Coast-based advisors.
Swapping his uniform whites for a dapper ensemble, the legendary seafarer entertained the crowd with onboard tales before he heads off on a well-earned holiday.
US-based Captain Tysse, who stepped off Azamara Quest in Sydney on 7 February, celebrates 13 years with the cruise company, including two years at the helm of Quest.
Azamara Quest recently completed two back-to-back voyages from Australia to New Zealand in January and February 2023.
The 17-night itinerary from Melbourne to Auckland and 16-night cruise from Auckland to Sydney included the best of the North and South Islands.
Azamara Quest continues to Asia from Perth at the conclusion of her Australia and New Zealand summer cruise season.
The luxury small ship arrived in Western Australia on 20 December 2022.
