The Matai relaunch is a way for agents to reacquaint themselves with Fiji following the reopening of the island nation’s international borders on 1 December 2021, after being closed for 20 months due to the pandemic.
The completely new programme has been designed to be more interactive and visually stimulating, which, let’s face it, is far more exciting than the traditional training programme you all know so well.
There will be regularly added courses and modules that will give tips for selling Fiji, including how to maximise your own social media channels to reach your customers.
“We’re excited about this brand-new course that will deliver updated and engaging content covering all our key pillars and niche tourism products across Fiji’s twelve regions,” said Tourism Fiji CEO Brent Hill.
“The travel industry has changed, and we felt it was important to update and change our training programme to help new agents coming into the industry learn the destination or allow previously registered agents to relearn and get updates on the destination again in a new and refreshed way.”
The new ‘Fiji Matai Specialist Training Programme’ will be packed to the brim with creative interactive maps, new fact sheets and product videos, all intricately designed with exciting rewards and benefits that will include exciting airline benefits, exclusive invites, places on famils and invitations to marketing activities and events.
The new three-tier system means training and learning won’t stop once you’ve become a Fiji Matai Specialist.
