Excite Holidays has announced a big expansion to its global technology team to build on its existing booking platform.

Excite Holidays has announced a big expansion to its global technology team to build on its existing booking platform.

 

Revealed at the company’s annual sales and marketing conference in Sydney this week, the move sees a 50 percent increase in techies.

An additional 15 developers were hired, adding to the current 30-strong team across its global network of offices.

The online travel wholesaler has also invested over $1 million in boosting this area of its business.

The company’s Managing Director and Founder said providing technological solutions to travel trade is at the forefront of the company’s business model and investing in that side of the business will ensure the needs of the area are met.

“Our booking system was designed and developed by our own in-house team and we’re currently the only company in the industry to own 100% of our technology. After all, we have always been innovators, not imitators.”

By making this substantial investment into this area of its business, Excite Holidays plans to make significant developments to its booking platform in order to help travel agents best serve their clients, convert sales and increase their client base.

Exite Holidays is currently hosting its annual three-day sales and marketing conference. Executive from around the globel were flown to Sydney for the event.
