Movers + Shakers: Anna Burgdorf to depart Flight Centre Travel Group after 6 years

Anna Burgdorf, Brand & Marketing Director Luxury Leisure Division, Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd and General Manager, Brand at Luxury Travel Collection has announced her departure from FCTG.

In a note shared with members of Luxury Travel Collection on Tuesday afternoon, Burgdorf shared her “fondest of farewells” and announced that her final day with the group will be on Friday 14 February. 

“Saying Bon Voyage to the sensational Luxury Travel Collection brand and team has not been an easy decision. I have loved working with a talented and fabulous group of people to create the Luxury Travel Collection vision, brand and strategy, and together with you, ensuring that luxury travel is elevated to the highest level as it deserves to be,” wrote Anna Burgdorf.

“What started as a seed of an idea is now a burgeoning business with the brightest of futures and a truly global, luxury outlook. Thank you so much for the role you have played and the support you have given us to bring LTC to life for clients.

“My first love in travel was with the gorgeous Travel Associates brand and its extremely impressive network. Understanding what made the brand truly special, discovering its brand qualities and helping to redefine the strategic pathway for the future was a remarkable and rewarding four years   – a brilliant opportunity made even more special by the passionate and professional TA team.

In the note, Anna Burgdorf also thanked Danielle Galloway, Global Managing Director, Luxury & Independent Brands, FCTG.

“I have loved every moment of my intensely satisfying time in this incredible company, and the extraordinary people I have met. Now, however, it’s time to put my favourite phrase into action, from the Roman poet, Virgil, and find a new passion project (after a little bit of time off!): Fortune favours the bold,” wrote Burgdorf. 

In comments shared with Karryon by FCTG, Danielle Galloway said: “Anna has been a great contributor during her six years with us in various brand, marketing and leadership roles across our luxury business. She leaves on very good terms and we wish her well in her future endeavours.”

There is no official word what the next professional chapter will be for Burgdorf.
